Pittsburg Theatre Company has many traditions but none more cherished than the Company Coat. Since the production of Oliver! in 1977, the coat was given by the director to the cast or crew member who made the most significant contribution to the production. The recipient’s responsibility is to place a symbol on the coat representing the show. The coat is then passed on to the recipient for the next production.
There have been six coats made over the years. The current coat started with Willy Wonka in 2024. The other coats were all lost to warehouse fires. The last two were lost June 9, 2024, and the other three years before.
