The Company Coat
Pittsburg Theatre Company has many traditions but none more cherished than the Company Coat. Since the production of Oliver! in 1977, the coat was given by the director to the cast or crew member who made the most significant contribution to the production. The recipient’s responsibility is to place a symbol on the coat representing the show. The coat is then passed on to the recipient for the next production.
There have been five coats made over the years. The current coat started with the 2014-15 season and ended with It Shoulda Been You in 2023. The new coat begins with Young Frankenstein fall 2023.
