TBA SPRING MUSICAL
Come audition for this classic musical that is straight out of the “Windy City.”
PTC is holding open auditions for all roles (save 1 which is pre-cast). I think Velma from Scooby-Doo could figure out which role might be taken easily enough, but rest assured, all other roles are open so bring it on!
Wish we could say more, but we can’t say anything until March 11, 2025, which oddly enough is the day after our rehearsals are scheduled to start (March 10). At which time, we will announce the casting to the public. The show opens May 9 for two weekends and performances are at the California Theatre in Pittsburg, CA.
In the meantime, please prepare the following for the audition:
- 32 bars from a musical of your choice. Please bring music track as we will not be having an accompanist for the initial audition. Make sure your phone is blue tooth compatible or bring a thumb drive.
- Wear your dancing shoes or shoes you can move and be ready to do your best… (as Robin Williams would say) “Fosse, Fosse, Fosse… Martha Graham, Madonna and so forth.
- Perform the a side of your choice if you are interested in a named character. Download the sides from our website. We want to hear your take on the character described in this document. This is just a single line or two. We prefer memorized, but you can hold the page in your hand.
Auditions are scheduled in 40 minute blocks with 6 people per block.
- Sunday, December 8 at 6:00 pm, 6:50 pm, 7:40 pm, 8:30 pm (last time slot will be available after other slots fill)
