Gifting PCT
Pittsburg Community Theatre prides itself on providing high quality, affordable theatre productions to everyone in the Pittsburg Community and the surrounding area. The PCT Board of Directors is creating a Betty Brown Legacy Fund for the Performing Arts and welcomes your generous gift and values your partnership to continue her vision and dream. Ticket sales account for only 65% of all the expenses which is why we reach out to you for assistance. As a community theatre, we understand how it takes a village to make the magic happen and we appreciate any and all assistance.
You too can partner with other people or businesses to give at a specific level. If that is your desire, we can list all names on publicity collateral or you can choose to list it under a pseudonym.

Betty Brown Performing Arts Scholarship
Pittsburg Community Theatre Founder - Betty Brown dedicated the majority of her life to the education and enrichment of adults and students in the Theatre Arts. In honor of our beloved founder PCT has officially named the annual scholarship "The Betty Brown Performing Arts Scholarship"
This annual scholarship is given to a High School Senior who has actively participated with PCT including auditioning and/or acting in a production, and worked in a production team role and/or on a crew.
Consider honoring Betty’s legacy by contributing to this scholarship fund. Mail your gift directly or include it with your season ticket order. Please note ‘Scholarship Fund’ on the check if sent separate from subscription order.

Show Expenses
Ticket sales cover approximately 60% of the cost to put on a main stage production. To help you understand where gifts given to PCT are utilized, here is a summary of average show expenses:

PCT works hard to repurpose props, costumes and set pieces whenever possible. We also borrow from other theatre companies and look to our supporters when special props are needed. Basically, we work as frugal as possible.
